This is apparently my week of wearing things that aren't skinnies. (So far, I have worn bootcuts, a dress as a skirt, and BF jeans). Keeping in that vein, today I am wearing a comfy fluid sweaterdress and knit blazer. This outfit was loosely inspired by this one that Sally at Already Pretty posted earlier this week featuring a dress that is similar in shape and style to mine:

Funny thing is, I actually own the exact same make and model Levi's leather jacket that Sal is wearing. However, I cannot wear it indoors, especially not in lab where I need more range of arm movement, so I had to swap in something more flexible. Enter my Gap Academy blazer. (Interestingly enough, I just saw last week that the new Academy blazers for spring include one in this exact colorway - grey with citron accents - so I guess it's still trendy.) I also did not do a scarf as I felt like there was enough going on with the necklines of the dress and jacket. Perhaps this reflects my new, somewhat more minimal style direction that Angie and I were discussing in yesterday's WIW post. I did add a silver necklace though.

This outfit is perfectly cozy and soft for today, in which the weather is grey and gloomy and I am feeling like I didn't get a good night's sleep (hope I am not getting sick).

PS - My hair is doing crazy flippy things today! I kind of like it.

Tulle sweaterdress, Gap Academy blazer, Uniqlo heattech leggings, Blondo boots, and Moira K Lime necklace.
