Last night I posted a pic & asked if the sweater dress was too short to wear with tights for my age (52). Everyone said "go for it" (at least the last time I checked you all did), so I wore it today with a few changes. I couldn't decide about the cream sweater vest (in the pic from yesterday) so I swapped it out for my grey sweater (it has a pretty trim around the edges that you can't see well in the photos) and I was glad I did because it kept me warm. And since I had to do a lot of walking today I opted for my comfy black flats - though I would switch these for something funkier if I was wearing this for a night out.
So my inspiration was from Jessica Quirk's blog (MaryK's blog challenge). I wish I had a black or grey blazer to wear like she did (note to DH: addition to Christmas wish list, black blazer).
