WIW: Summer Uniform, Version 2.0

Beth Ann's comment about this look being my "summer uniform" inspired me to try different versions -- different enough to be completely distinct.

For this version I have paired yet a different berry-hued top (my fave - can you tell?) with my old standby Lucky jeans (I wear them at least a couple of times a week in warmer weather) and switched out the platinum flats for leopard print.

I would have liked to wear a chunky turquoise necklace to fill in the open neckline, but don't have one, so settled for a smaller silver and turquoise necklace. I'd also love a chunky white watch for summer. I found one I loved, but it's out of my price range, even though it's offered here for much less than the $565 price tag I originally saw: http://inventoryadjusters.com/.....atch-fb123

My DD14 was the photographer and made me laugh, so maybe that's my best accessory!

Nice - I really like that color on you. I wear this "uniform" quite a bit on the weekends too. For me it's a casual spring/fall uniform though as it's too hot here in the summer for jeans. I switch to shorts and sundresses once the temps get into the 90's.

And of course, "uniform" dressing is fab. WHY NOT.

Harmonica, this is one of my favorite colors of all time. It makes me happy every time I see it.

Sara, it will get too hot for this outfit here, too. This is more of a late spring/early summer and early fall uniform for me. I don't wear shorts very much anymore (I'm too self-conscious about my veiny white legs), but will wear shorter capris in lighter fabrics and skirts.

Your summer uniform is a great look. I really love how you have styled your hair and your smile is killer. I do sympathise on the turquoise necklace, that has been on my "would love to have list" for a long time, but like you, it is hard to find ones that I like at my price range. Turquoise and denim are an amazing match, so the hunt continues...

Check Etsy for turquoise necklaces. The other place to hunt for them are street art fairs if there are any in your town. I have three of them that I like that weren't expensive at all, and I found them that way.
