Summer has finally arrived in Toronto, and it's actually fun to wear easy, breezy clothes for two short months before fall sets in below are some recent WIWs with lots of thrifted finds.

I'm discovering that I like to be my style to be urban, current and luxe - but not trendy. Trendy doesn't feel authentic on me and is usually not luxe enough for me, so I always feel uncomfortable in it. So I'm happily going into more classic territory here
Sorry for photos out of order - never got the hang of that!

Pale pink dress outfit:
Dress: thrifted, $7. Love this dress. It's an easy, nicely draping viscose with some stretch, and I love the neck tie
Blazer: BCBG. I love this blazer because the lines give the body shape even when it is open, and it adds a bit of sharpness I like.

Linen skirt outfit:
Skirt: Max Mara - a summer favorite of mine. I LOVE substantial linen and the hold just makes it look more sophisticated to my eye
Top and necklace: BR

Colorful Blouse outfit:
Blouse: club Monaco, silk - thrifted
Pants: Max Mara - thrifted

Bolero outfit:
Bolero: Lida Baday, thrifted. I wasn't sure how I was going to style this Bolero, but the jacquard and weave was so exquisitely made that I couldn't leave it behind. Also, it perfectly fits with my clean lined, urban luxe descriptor. I've always wanted a Lida Baday piece since she stopped designing in 2014. It was nice to pick it up for 9.99 CAD instead of the $875USD it is currently listed at on Lyst!
Pants: Judith and Charles - thrifted
Blouse: Elizabeth & James

Dress outfit:
Dress: Club Monaco - same as Angie and Jane!

Earrings: my first time in hoops, inspired by Jaime! I am loving them!

Blazer outfit:
Blazer: Rachel Roy - this blazer is a perennial favorite for me because it is exquisitely made. The construction and shaping make me happy
Blouse: Ted Baker
Skirt: club Monaco

Culottes outfit:
Blouse and pants: Ellen Tracy, thrifted
Blazer: BCBG
Both pieces are silk and lined in silk, too. They send me over the moon! I realize the colors should be shorter but I can bear to cut the fabric. But I am seeing that the while outfit sends to overwhelm me. I think I need a short sleeve top on top to show some skin and add structure.

Thanks for looking! Any ideas on how to improve any of these? Honest feedback always welcome - I always find it so helpful.
