WIW: Summer in Jeans

One of the wardrobe holes when I got back to Scotland was basic tees. I picked this one up over the weekend so I could get this jacket a little more wear. I think it needs a necklace or something up top, but I"m not sure. It's too hot for a scarf.

I'm also thinking about switching from a WIW every day to a WIW weekly. I'd like to make a better effort at chronicling what I'm wearing (for my own sake, if not everyone else's), but I'm not sure what the preference is around here.

Such a lovely jacket, Froggiebecky, and the new tee works splendidly with it. Great outfit from top to toe. And I personally don't think you need anything "extra" up top as the floral print on the jacket and jacket collar together with your hair worn down already add great visual interest.

Thanks everyone! I'm still working out what to do with this longer hair (that doesn't involve chopping it off). Good to know that it can stand on its own!

Greetings. I'm glad you have found a tee to compliment you. Did you buy multiples? I have a bad habit of doing that with something I like. I am a person who wears alot of stuff but honestly I love the jacket/topper being the center of attention or the star and it shines with you wearing it as is and the small details like the printed belt and your smile are accent enough to me.

Looks good to me! I also don't think anything is necessary up top, but if you want to add a little sparkle or shine some dangly earrings would do the trick without competing with the pretty jacket. Big fan of the white/cream oxfords with this look. Did you try rolling the hem on the jeans at all? That could also look cute.

Re posting, whatever works for you is totally fine. I used to do weekly posts, which I actually still prefer doing, but a few months back switched to daily posting so that I could use the graphic view of my posts to quickly search for outfits; the weekly posts only showed the first one, and this way I can find what I'm looking for or get a good sense of what I'm into at any time.

I didn't buy multiples of the tee, Lady. This one was on clearance, and I wasn't inspired by any of the other colours. That being said, I could still use some tees! (I've got plenty of alternatives)

Aida, I did consider rolling them, but I've only got one pair of socks that are short enough and white to wear with them--I don't like going barefoot in my shoes if I can help it. So I was wearing regular trouser socks underneath. Hence the not rolling.

Love the jacket and the pink t and jeans with it! I do agree with you though that you could use a topper. I am seeing a wooden or dark brown statement necklace that is short enough to fall above the collar of the jacket. I think it would complete the outfit more, and give the jacket more "something".

So glad to see that pretty jacket come out to play! Love it with the oxfords.

I would post whatever way works for you. Sometimes I do daily (esp. if I happen to be wearing one of Angie's ensembles); sometimes I do weekly; sometimes I do monthly; and sometimes I do a travel capsule. Sometimes I take photos but don't bother to post at all. It is purely your choice and what works for you. Some people like best to view posts with one photo; others prefer a range of outfits. You can't please everyone, so please yourself.

You will get different kinds of feedback, however. If what you want is helpful suggestions, or if you have questions, posting one outfit at t time is the way to go.
