I have a business-dress event to attend tonight (a lawyer's banquet with J) and it is FREEZING today so I figured I'd break out my suit. I haven't had the opportunity to wear it as a suit yet, although I have worn both pieces individually. I am wearing my teal peplum top as a shell underneath.
There are very few things I feel uncomfortable wearing to lab, but a full suit is one of them. So the "unsuited" version for lab has an asymmetrical blue cardigan instead of the suit jacket to make it less formal.
Big Longchamp Planetes tote today, as I needed a bag big enough to carry the suit jacket around in without crushing it too badly.
Bonus outtake in #4. I actually think the suit photographs better in motion, as all that black is hard to get a good picture of when standing still.
By the way, I think this peplum top does that bust pulling thing Sarah was mentioning in a another thread. I don't have a particularly big bust, but my boobs are wideset so there is an empty space between them under the top. The material is a ponte knit, so a bit more substantial, and it doesn't want to settle into the gap, hence the pulling. It doesn't really bother me though; does it bother you?
