One could suspect telepathy today all the way from Seattle to Oslo, because seeing Angie's outfit post in my lunch break brought a smile to my face. Today I must have done something right, I thought. Trench - check, leopard - check, old staple - check.

We're having heavy rain today, so a trenchcoat was in order (the sky IS  falling down here, Angie!). I also wanted to wear my new black pencil skirt and show off my new birthday boots (high five Team Wear). The temperatures have dropped significantly, so I pulled out an old staple, a quite fitted black merino v-neck pullover. It isn't as slouchy as I would have wanted it to to be if I bought it now, but it is in fact one of the older pieces in my wardrobe, I think I've had it for six years. This is the first time I've worn a scarf this season after a hiatus for many months, and this particular one felt very right today. It is a mix of silk, wool and cashmere, and very light and soft to the touch. I picked the scarf to create some interest in a very simple outfit and to bookend the boots.

I can report that the Nr 2 Pencil Skirt is perfect for me, as I've walked and sat in it for many hours today and it didn't move around, pinch or misbehave in any way. I actually felt quite fab in it!

What do you think? Does this work, or is it too classic and too little modern? All and any comments and suggestions are most welcome. Thanks for looking!
