I've been trying to be better about taking WIW pics this month, to get a handle on what my outfits actually look like, as opposed to how they look in my head. Plus, I've made it a New Year's resolution to put on lipstick every day, so that makes me want to try a little harder, even on busy work-at-home days.
Here's a random sampling from the past few weeks.
1. An essentials-heavy work-at-home outfit of relaxed jeans (27 wears), black silk tank (56 wears, duplicated), and cashmere cardigan (29 wears). The silk and cashmere make it feel luxurious, but I'm starting to go off this jeans fit, at least for the winter. The BF style might still work for cooler summer days.
2. Another silk and cashmere day, this time with Eileen Fisher tunic (15 wears), Eileen Fisher cardigan (28 wears), and olive pants (42 wears)
3. This was a total experiment, in trying to do two things: wear my troublesome, asymmetric EF sweater, and repurpose a summer dress for cold weather. I felt pretty blah, and won't be wearing this combo again. EF sweater (12 wears), EF linen dress (13 wears), leggings, and Born cap-toe booties, in desperate need of resoling (135 wears)
4-5. Evidence of how my hairdresser insists on blowing out my curls. #4 was how I left the house in the morning. #5 is in the Macy's dressing room, immediately post-appointment. I'm letting my bangs grow out, but I may change my mind again. Target ponte blazer (12+ wears...this was in my closet before I started tracking), same black silk tank from #1, Lands End jeans (70 wears), Allbirds sneakers (114 wears)
6. Another essentials-heavy outfit. EF cardigan from #2, jeans from #1, Boden Ravello top (10 wears), brown Born booties (70 wears)
7. Statement-heavy outfit. Tolani silk "tunic" (9 wears) that's actually a dress with my rust duster cardigan (34 wears), brown Born booties again.
8. I liked the dress in #7 so much that I bought another, in a slightly different cut. We'll see if that proves to be a mistake or not. First wear for the tunic/dress, paired with Sorel snow boots (18 wears) for a wintery Valentine's Day market. Photo-bomber is Phoebus, who likes the tags on tea bags. Also, don’t judge this by my frown. It was very early, VERY cold, and I was starting to get sick.
I know this is a lot of photos, so feel free to chime in just with favorites/least favorites, or thoughts on what works and doesn't as I move towards my new "bohemian sophisticate" style moniker.
