Today’s wiw is a very structured dress with lots of seams, and fairly stiff fabric. It is fitted at the waist which is unusual for me to wear. It also has a round neckline that comes exactly up to the base of my neck but no higher.
Angie has helpfully mentioned that my necklines are often too wide, and I tend to agree. However button down shirt collars aren’t so fabulous on me either....
I think this might be my ideal neckline. The holy grail of necklines...... well I hope anyway!
I think the print works well because the tiny dots have a softening effect, stopping the highly structured dress from being too harsh.
I tried to casualise the dress a bit by wearing a long sleeved grey top under it, black tights and a puffer for the outdoors.
I was sure to wear ankle covering footwear to give a cohesive wintery vibe.
It looks nicer with statement earrings and a wool coat but I needed to keep it casual for today.
