WIW: Striped Tees Layered for Work

I recently bought two striped tees in black and navy from Banana Republic. Both are made of substantial modal fabric that is soft and opaque, and are of a flattering cut; not too slim, with necklines exposing collarbone but not cleavage. I expect to be wearing these a lot in the next few months!

The style is feeling sort of new to me, which is ridiculous, since it's been around forever; but honestly I'm not sure I've ever owned a tee with substantial, equally-spaced stripes. To my eye the graphic pattern is both classic/preppy and kind of punk by way of Tim Burton. I'm probably overthinking it.

A good striped tee can take you lots of places! I like the cut and design lines of yours, the side panel (?) is especially interesting looking. #1 looks perfectly casual cute, and the nude flats are a fun touch there. I prefer the jacketed version of the second outfit, with the stripe shirt adding a faux contrast cuff, but I think #3 (sans jacket) would work better with the sleeves pushed up; "needing" to layer a shirt+dress and leaving the sleeves long with exposed legs is a little jarring to me.

I have this same t -and keep forgetting to pull it out. I bought it back in July and tucked it aside . I haven't any plans for it yet, so I am enjoying your ideas here. Really like the first casual outfit ! You must be a fellow Canadian ? (I used to be a buyer for Ricki's , waaaaay back in the day )

@Aida, there is indeed a side panel on the white/navy tee, and a little detail at the shoulders as well. Interesting point about #3 being perhaps a touch seasonally confused. I had been thinking of it as a long sleeved dress, which I would wear sans-hose.
@LisaP, I am indeed Canadian, from Southwestern Ontario. Cool that you used to work for Ricki's - I <3 those guys! They have some trendier stuff and usually good value for the money.
