WIW: Striped Tee and Bedhead

I'm just working at home today (as I do most days) so I slept on wet hair last night and figure it'll sort itself out eventually. Ready for the heat again in a loose, linen tee, cargo capris, Chuck Taylors, and a HHF.

You all were right. The WIWs are addictive!

A nice work from home outfit. Semi tuck looks alright, though I prefer the tucked part to be a bit looser so it's more like "oh, this? this just happens" The Find shows what I mean. In general semi-tucking is going to work best with tops that are long enough to drape around the sides; shorter tops don't add enough visual weight around the semi-tuck, if that makes sense.

Here's one way that I do mine: Pull the top up with one hand around the bust so the hemline falls about in-line with the top of pants, while also arching my back a bit. With the other hand, pull forward the front of pants, suck in the tummy, and then un-arch back so that the hem falls a bit into the gap at the top of the pants. Let go of the top and shake gently to let everything fall back into palce. From there adjust the edges as desired. This will net you a result very similar to the Finds photo of the stripey tee

cjh - That is incredibly kind of you to say. I've been following YLF for a long time (years and years) without posting, and I feel like I've gotten to a point where my outfits are at least reasonably flattering. My learning curve comes in figuring out how to make my generic outfits look like ME. I'm still not sure what that means or how to do it.
