In all the excitement over the VC tube skirt, I totally forgot that I actually own another knit pencil skirt. This one is short and a quite casual style - it has a drawstring waist and is made of a light sweatshirt-type material. Since it's a more sporty fabrication, I decided to go with a sporty theme and wore it with my Cons and bomber jacket. The modified henley neckline on my blouse is a little bit sporty too. Because we are talking about me, the most unsporty of people, here, my blouse is silk and my bomber is silky.
So, what do you think? Did I pull off the sporty pencil skirt look or is "sporty black pencil" an oxymoron? And what about the length? I am actually wearing the skirt pretty low on my hips here to get some extra length. After wearing my midi yesterday it feels very short! But it is less tapered than the midi so I think the shorter length is OK... I am feeling a little paranoid about skirt length today because school has started back up in Boston and I have seen a lot of high school and college girls wearing extremely short and tight tube skirts in the last week!
Anthro blouse, Tulle skirt, Converse Hi-Ness sneakers, Hinge bomber.
