I'm back! Thanks to everyone who had input on my travel capsule (seen
here). It was perfect. The only thing I didn't wear was a dressier, short sleeved top because I didn't layer so much at night (just long sleeves under a coat). Only have one unworn item is a big win for me. Also, the puffer coat over the fleece that goes with the all-weather coat was the right decision. It helped me feel a little dressier at night. The blue sneakers I packed ended up being most comfortable; I only wore the metallic ones at night, as we walked a lot more than I thought we were would to each meal. (NB: I struggled a lot at times with my back and hip injury, as I almost doubled my daily walking from what it was at home, even though that's still much less than we normally do when we travel. I expect I have strengthened my muscles and will emerge even stronger after some relative rest for a few days, though right now I'm still achy. Extra rest and wine helped!)
I tried to take a few photos, but the ones I happened to take don't show the full variety of what I wore, especially not the outfits with tee shirts layered under the black sweater or grey topper. I wore them just as much. That new red turtleneck from BR was the true workhorse! It's dressy enough, warm and added a cheery touch.
Here is a sampling of photos I took.
