Not really a proper WIW photo, but I didn’t think to take a pic before leaving the house. Taken while hubs and I were having a drink outside at a favorite downtown spot.

I got this fab skirt at Peruvian Connection in Santa Fe. I tried on a dress in the same fabric, but it didn’t work on me as well — too short and not as flattering as the skirt with a simple top. I tie up one end of the skirt to make it less of a maxi. I predict it will be a workhorse since I seem to be reaching for simple solid knit tees and patterned skirts for summer.

Also pictured, my “splurge” purchase from my trip (I just got home after a month away — at the ranch in TX then a big road trip through Texas, New Mexico, a photo workshop in Santa Fe, and then road trip home). I got this amazing reversible ring in Santa Fe, where I also got to meet the artist who makes them. The ring flips around to display two different stones or stone combinations on each side. One side is onyx and opal, the other a stone called rosarita, a byproduct of gold ore processing. I don’t even wear much red, but that stone really appealed to me.

It was a wonderful trip, but it’s nice to be back home! Hope you all are doing well!
