WIW: Something Old, New & Blue

Last Spring I thrifted this RL tipped jersey blazer, and I'm so glad I kept it! It is warm (100% wool) but breezy, and will be a great topper until it gets really chilly here. Today I paired it with a white basic tee, jeans and new pointy toe wedges. I also added a new snake patterned belt that I picked up on final sale. It took all Summer to find a belt that looked right and had an acceptable price - but now I have it.

To set off the blues I wore red lipstick (that picks up the red in the badge, too), and my cognac messenger bag. This outfit worked fine for August here, but the jacket turned out to be too warm after a while since we're enjoying great weather right now. I had informal meetings today, and my happiness factor was pretty high.

What do you think? Did I get the proportions right? I think I'm gravitating towards higher rises nowadays, but otherwise I like my Levi's. Any and all comments and suggestions are welcome. Thanks for looking!

You look fantastic, Ingunn! The proportions look good and I love the new wedges, the blue looks great paired with the denim. And great find with the belt! Sometimes it's good to hold out and wait.

Harmonica and Suz: yes, these are the Vagabonds. They are very comfortable, but I do get some blisters still when wearing them sans hose. I think they will be perfect when broken in.

Adding the patterned light belt was one of the smartest things I've done for my wardrobe in a long time. I will wear it with a lot of outfits, and I think it is seasonless. Definitely a hole that is filled.

In some respects there is a bit going on in this outfit, however it's all works in a seamless fashion and works beautifully. I think those shoes are gorgeous.
