I eyed this skirt for some time before deciding to order. I loved the colour, the lined wool fabrication (tights friendly!) and the zipper detail of the "Factory Zip Mini in Wool" as soon as I saw it. But would such a thing work for my wardrobe/life? I found an awesome pinterest inspiration outfit with it that I could pull together from my closet. It would totally work for casual or smart casual occasions, like a trip to the theatre later this month. I almost didn't pull the trigger because of one tiny problem... "Mini" means no for work.

Then I looked at the length. My BR pencil skirt is 19". My Club Monaco wrap skirt is 17.5" and that is as short as I'd go at work. 16.5"? Hmm... sigh, guess not. Then I noticed that it sits at the hips rather than the waist. Worth a shot!

I was pleased when the skirt arrived and I tried it on. It very nearly grazes my kneecaps and provides plenty of coverage when seated. The wool fabric and lining are nice, itch-free, and I love the zipper detail. This might be a little more casual than usual for me, but I'm happy with it. I think my done hair and pointy pumps help keep things polished and officey. The striped tee is new from BR, bought on my day off yesterday. It is not my blue and white striped tee, though I found that at BR yesterday, too!

I am almost 100% happy with this outfit ... I feel like it is missing a little something. A necklace, maybe? Any suggestions?
