I've actually been doing SYC since early September, since I've decided to not shop this fall until at least mid-December (and then it will probably just be christmas presents). But, since several people here are doing SYC November, I thought I'd start posting my WIWs as such.

These are outfits for the last week or so. I really want to try to start posting my WIWs more regularly again, rather than as huge batches every 3 weeks like I've been doing. Plus autumn is my favorite dressing season so I tend to take lost of photos.

Anyway, these outfits feature a lot of pretty old items, in many cases 5-10 years old. I have a pretty well-stocked closet, especially for this season, so SYC is not a hardship at all.

1-3: According to Ravelry, I finished this handknit lace hoodie in early 2010, so it's over 8 years old and still in great shape. Paired with a black support act. I liked the plum argyle socks peeking out at the bottom, so I took a picture of them.

4: Halloween. Didn't do a costume (nowhere to wear it) but I did pull out my old orange shirtdress and paired it with black. Most of these items (dress, long cardigan, boots) are also several years old at least.

5: Plaid shirt and jeans with burgundy booties.

6-7: An arty outfit with one of my old VC tube skirts, handknit cocoon cardigan, and teal combat boots.

8-10: Dressier outfit worn for a birthday dinner. Sheer black silk blouse, crinkly silver print skirt, mid-heeled pointy booties, and turquoise clutch.

11-12: I pulled out this old handknit cardigan (8+ years old) that I haven't worn much recently. I wanted to wear something more autumnal in color today, and I thought the mustardy camel shade of the cardigan would be perfect. It's also my SYC nod to the earth tones trend, which I don't generally wear. Fall color inspiration in photo #13!
