Hi All

I haven't been around much the last week or two due to a busy schedule but have popped in briefly a couple of times.

I have however done some end of winter shopping.... I love the 70s looks that Angie posted a few weeks back and decided to judiciously add some for winter next year - but since spring has not arrived here yet I can still wear them for a couple more weeks here.

September and October are the hardest months for dressing for me. Winter lingers, and we want to wear spring clothes, but it is not warm enough and often wet and windy. This year has been mostly wet - oh so wet. And rugby and soccer seasons finished last week and Jon raced at the velodrome so there has been a lot of sport watching.

Anyway here are some outfits. I have been trying a few new shapes - mixed in with some older familiar ones. There are a few repeats from other WIW - I love repeats:)

1) Nothing new here but some spring colour on a dreary day. I prefer this blouse without the jacket but I think it passes with it. (work)

2) First wear of new dark indigo flares. Worn with ink sweater, a locket, and old tote and camel boots. A very safe combination to wear flares for the first time in a while.(Work)

3) Black bell sleeve dress with leggings and flats (work)

4) At the rugby on a very dreary day. My son's team won - hence the medals.

5) Flares worn in a braver way with a tucked in blouse (I know I know) and old tote and sandal boots. I liked it because the blouse is very soft and easy to tuck (work)

6) All in black with silver shoes (work)

7) More black, trying the A line with a tucked in blouse, Same sandal boots and bag as before. Wore two cuffs. I received a couple of compliments on this look - the skirt is 8 years old, the blouse 4, and the shoes 3. Worn for Jon's birthday dinner out to a very casual Malaysian restaurant.

8) My new boots!! I purchased some suede brown boots on sale and altered them. Wearing them for the first time with the same A line skirt as above, and the same black top. They are quite fitted and I think will be best with skirts and dresses, not skinny jeans. But being suede with a heel I wanted them for this reason. These have been a hewi for two years now and I love them!!

9) Same boots with the wine red dress.

I do have a wildcard purchase which I plan to style and show in the next week.

Off to comment and read up a bit today.

Thanks
Sally
