Lots of snow and ice and slush on the sidewalks this week, which means that many pairs of footwear won't work if I want to be able to walk. Here are a couple of outfits with snow-worthy footwear, and (coincidentally) the same jacket. This Free People ruffled jacket is quite warm and cozy. It's a heavy knit material, and I had a tailor put a buttonhole on it so I could close it on occasion.

1: with a tunic, skinnies, and Sorel snow boots.
2-4: with a long plaid flannel shirt, grey jeans, and my burgundy Rieker boots, which are not true snow boots but have good traction and shearling lining. I'm really liking the burgundy/navy combo these days.
