WIW: snakeskin and kimono

I finally decided to copy Suz and get these snakeskin booties. They're fun. The thing I notice though is how much shorter one leg is compared to the other. To get my jeans to be symmetrical, I have to do a full extra roll on one leg!

I also got a new henley wool/tencel top and a kimono. It was the colour that drew me in, but the curved hem and neckline are perfect, so worth the non-sale price.

I think I prefer the scarf rendition of the kimono on me.

I am really enjoying lightweight, slightly form-fitting tops.

How clever that the kimono works as a scarf! I love that version too. The booties are beautiful. I have a weird weakness for Henley tops.

Great booties. I was in Roots recently and saw those Henley tops. They are great. I may pick one up when I go to Hamilton next week. I did not see the kimono. Gorgeous. Roots also had some great plaid shirts.
Love the outfit on you. I have to get both my pants pinned when I go to the seamstress for hemming. One of my legs is longer than the other.

That is clever making your kimono into a scarf. I like both renditions. I often cuff my jeans and finding getting it assymetrical really difficult. Yours look good.

Oh my goodness, you had me laughing so hard I almost spilled the tea. I have been noticing this asymmetry in my own legs, too!! It drives me nuts! I cropped my Dres a bit too short -- they can't really be rolled. Which would be fine, except for this one-leg-longer than the other thing I have going on. It's okay with ankle baring styles (seems to disappear) but when they have to meet the booties, disaster!

However...speaking of booties -- those look amazing on you! I hope they are more durable than the others. I really like mine a lot.

And the kimono-- wow!! I didn't know Roots sold such things. Really love the Henley, too. You look amazing in these moody tones.

Fabulous! I like the scarf version best too. But how fab that it can be worn both ways (like Jenn's poncho). I would try it with a different neckline top for kimono style wear - maybe a scoop neck or a wrap top. More skin showing. Love the boots too.

Sorry to bring this back to the top after falling to page two, but I wanted to say thanks to all who commented.

Brooklyn, I will try a lower neckline (and maybe a turtle neck for more of a 70s vibe). Thanks for the suggestion.

Suz, you expressed what I wanted to say: it is way more apparent that your legs are not the same length when the pant must meet the top of the boot exactly! I'm actually going to get some of my jeans hemmed to deal with this issue.

StyleFan: Nice to know you're in Roots as well. I love their products but mostly don't buy because they are all earth tone, all the time (not great with my colouring).

Sterling, I'm not effortless! Maybe it's just that I feel comfortable in scarves that give me that look. There's no reason that I can see why you couldn't look effortless in a scarf.

Ooh, cool scarf/kimono! I love that you can wear it both ways! I was expecting the scarf to look really bulky but it looks perfect.
