WIW: Slouchy leather pants cooled down, and a question

Talk about Team Wear! I wore these pants today with this j. crew dotty top, trying to lessen the "cool" factor and make them more work-appropriate. Not usually one for dots, but I do love this ombre-ish print. What do you think?

Also, I LOVE these pants! They are warm, soft, and comfy. The leather is thin but not too flimsy considering they are slouchy pants and need some drape. But they are quite a statement. How often can one wear leather pants, do you feel?

I think skin tight leather pants worn frequently start to look like you're beating people over the head with your "statement," but these you can wear - and should wear! - as often as you please. These are just wonderful trousers.

I kept the XS. These slouch a lot when I walk, so the S would have been at my ankles!

When I was in middle school wearing uniforms, my mom tried to convince me that the same navy bottoms could be worn 3x a week... black pants in Alaska? I think you can wear them all you want, probably. They are a "basic" color, and it's not like they are sexy, skin-tight, biker babe pants.

You look like a model - this is a very good look. Jim Morrisson wore his leather pants daily for many years. I think you might want to give yours a break a little more often. I think basic black bottoms can be repeated often, but ones as distinctive as these might need to see a little more shelf time in between or they'll call you the lady with the leather pants (unless you don't mind that?)

I think you could treat these like any other black pants, maybe once a week to work, but as often as you want/can in your free time.

Hi! I die! I don't even like slouch pants but you have totally nailed this look. FAB!!!

I wear my leather skirt to work alot. I think these pants are kind of like that. As long as you don't wear them with studs and more leather, you can totally wear them like regular pants. I usually wear my leather skirt with some kind of casual LS top or a crewneck sweater to downplay it's edginess. No problem doing that with these pants.

Yay for team wear! This outfit is amazing, the pants look great, and the elastic waistband is covered by the top, which I like. Very cool top!

Brilliant pairing of polka dots and leather! You make these pants look amazing Una and I think you'll be able to wear them often - both in a more conservative way for work and then in a fashion forward way for play.

Did you ever see that experiment where a woman wore the same three or four black items to work for a month and her coworkers never even noticed? I think if you change up the tops and jackets, you can wear these often.

edit: Not that you aren't noticable...! Quite the opposite. The experiment showed her that her coworkers didn't care about what she wore or how often, etc., as she might have thought they did!

I had my eye on those for 6 months too. The catwalks are full of this look right now, so it's a goodie.

As far as frequency goes - once a week? Twice a week? Who cares! Just wear them and feel fab.
