WIW: Silver FitFlops and other stuff

I was determined to wear my silver Fitflop slip ons, even though they are very bright. They are super comfortable.

1-2. What I wore to church. My denim dress from Kohl's with a new heart pendant.

3-5. What I wore to a Basque restaurant: EF sharkbite linen top from last year, Kut jeans, silver belt, bear pendant. I ended up folding up the hem differently, with two smaller folds.

6-7. What I considered wearing: The white top (EF) required a camisole and I felt too hot in it. The grey top (EF) seemed too wintery, even though it's cotton.

8. Basque Picon Punch. Very nice!

How did you feel about the brightness of the shoes? Is your eye adjusting? The white jeans deflect from the brightness of the shoes in the photos, something I'd not thought of. YLF.

Joy, I thought about what you said, that I would get used to them. I think I did. They're sooo comfortable. I wanted to wear the clogs again because their color is kind of muted. But I wanted to prevent these becoming orphans. I felt fine in them. I wanted to wear the white jeans because this is kind of the last hurrah for summer.

We are having a cold front. It's 20 degrees cooler than it was earlier in the week. Even so, I couldn't tolerate a camisole. I cringe when I think about the times I'd worn the white top without a camisole.

Fitflops are comfy. I wore mine into the ground. Your silver ones look very nice with your outfits. I like your pendants.
My copper Birks are very sparkly and draw attention. I think of them as jewellery. They are so comfortable.

I like the shiny silver! As Joy says, the white of the jeans makes them blend quite a bit and I suspect your hair does as well. I like what Style Fan says about considering them as "jewellery." I consider my silver belt to be jewellery in a sense.

I love the shirt dress...I have a few to wear in spring here. It looks great with the sneakers. I also like the blue shirt with the white jeans..the semi tuck looks good. I also thought the grey shirt looked good too. The white shirt and pants looked like too much wHite to me and I liked the colored tops with the white jeans better.

Summer, thanks! My husband gave me both pendants. He gave me the heart for my birthday.

Skylurker, thanks! Since Labor Day is considered the last gasp of summer, I decided to wear a more summery top. I like the grey one too and have no qualms about wearing it.

I really, really like these on you. I have considered getting them earlier in the spring and while I was pondering they sold out, so I am really enjoying seeing them on you. If you have never worn metallic shoes before they may seem very bright at first, but after a while your eye adjusts. I love all the outfit combos, they look great with denim and white and the necklace from #1 is adorable.

Tanya, thank you! I have a lot of metallic shoes, but they've all been muted metallics. These are different, being pure silver brightness.

My husband gave me the pendant in #1 for my birthday. I'm sure I'll wear it in fall and winter with grey. It has some opal and maybe malachite in it. I'm not sure exactly. I love his taste in jewelry.

I adore those fit flops! I had no idea they made chic shoes like these. Are they super comfy? Also love the dress from Kohl's.

Cocolion, thanks! The shoes are super comfortable. Like slippers. Zappos has two nearly identical ones. Mine are #1. I think they look practically the same, but the pair in #1 are classified as sneakers and the others in #2 are classified as loafers.

Is there a find for the heart? Or would you or your husband be willing to share where he got it? I am quite seriously wanting it, although price will have to be taken into consideration.

Barbara, thanks! My husband bought it from Lapis Bear. He has given me various pieces from there over the years. I love the modern Southwestern look. I've actually only been in the store once, to return some earrings that were too heavy. Here is their website:

Barbara, I think the pieces are handmade. I was looking through David Rosales Designs, which is linked to Lapis Bear, and I think that might be where they were made. Most of the bears on his site are double sided, as is mine, although mine has a landscape on the back, and most of the ones on the website have a zigzag arrow. The heart has a pattern on the back, too.

I'm sorry I'm so ignorant about the pieces.

I love the periwinkle and white combination. I prefer it with the belt showing (strongly prefer).
Agree that the grey sweater is too wintery but will look good for fall.
The shoes don't seem too shiny to me!
Even though they're casual, I think of them as dressy.

The magpie in me LOVES the shiny shoes. I think they look great with all these outfits. I agree that the gray sweater looks a bit seasonally confused -- but in a few weeks it will fit right in.
