WIW: Silky tee and tone-on-tone

Ever since I took the fabulous Mrs. Peel as a style muse I've wanted to incorporate more tone on tone outfits - my take on the popular sixties monochrome style. Last week I found this Pleione tee marked down and couldn't wait to pair it with my cobalt skirt. It's such a gorgeous color pairing I kept my accessories simple, just a watch, simple ring and earrings.

I also tried it untucked, but like it much better tucked. What do you think? Any ideas for other types of shoes that might be better?

Ooh lovely colors! I like the tucked version better. The blouson effect is really fun that way, and it adds a little more structure to the very soft blouse. Really nice!

You were right about those colours working well together & I like the top tucked. I think the shoes look just right.

Your instincts work to my eye. The colors look gorgeous together, tucked looks good. Have you tried the semi tuck? Adding a belt might look more finished. The nude toned shoes look just right, but I could also see shoes in a color like red, pink, yellow, green or purple or a floral print.
I envy your ability to wear the scoop neckline. You could easily add beads or necklace.

This is a gorgeous outfit on you. I like the blouse tucked, and the nude-for-you shoes are perfect. They give the outfit a more casual feel, and you look like spring breeze.

Love the colour blocking, and the colours are spot on with your colouring. I'll chime in that tucked looks best to my eye. And, I like Joy's idea about coloured shoes ( though the neutral shoes with the lovely pedi is very on trend.)

I love those blues on you - especially with your hair colour! I am also a fan of the tucked shirt version of the outfit. So classy. The neutral shoes are okay. It could be a fun switch to try combining that outfit with a pair of pale gold sandals or shoes. Or maybe a reddish/coppery colour to do a bookend effect (hair and footwear).

Another vote for tucked. How lucky for you to find a woven tee like this, pairing it with the cobalt skirt is so modern. You look great!

I like the top tucked too, You look great. I like the nude shoes as they extend the leg line and let the blues shine, fab!

Beautiful color and easy, modern fits. Love it! The nude is a great choice for footwear -- it keeps the leg line long and doesn't compete for color attention. I think a wedge sandal or pump would work here as well!

Thanks for the footwear suggestions! I haven't broken out all my sandals yet and this reminds me that my yellow-patent wedges would work here, and if I really want to make a statement my floral sandals. I also might try it with my three tone cut-out oxfords for a funkier look.

Joy - it's funny how we take ourselves for granted. It never occurred to me I was lucky to be able to wear scoop necks and that some people may not find them flattering. Thanks for the perspective!

Yes, that was my first thought too, how great you look in the scooped neckline! The colors are striking together and I like tucked slightly better, but both are good. A semi tuck might be fun. It sounds like you have some good footwear lined up to change up your look. And now I'm off to Google Mrs. Peel!

Gorgeous colors. I both love them together and on you. So flattering? I am bucking the trend. I like it untucked better, but I think it would need a belt. Even tucked, I wonder if a belt would add something.

Love it!!! I prefer the tucked version, showing off your lovely bod. It also works better with the round neck IMO. Colours are a poem on you.
