WIW: Silk slouchies

By Malene Birger 100% silk, from eluxe.ca at 75% off. I like that kind of math! They are a bit short, I will admit it. But I think they work as a cropped slouchy. I just can't bear to pull them down on my hips, I just feel like my muffin top is too unrestrained at that point.

Nicole, they look great. I think the footwear works well and what about sandals or shooties as it warms up? I like how you have styled the pants too, cool outfit.

Thanks all! You're right about the richness of silk, Thistle, I recommend springing for the silk version if you love slouchies. These will be my most fave jammies when they go out of style. Ceit, that is my kids' nanny Vicky taking the photo for me, as she does almost every day. She also provides final advice on which shoes to wear.

Thanks again all. The pleather jacket is a real workhorse, I bought it a year or so ago, from a little boutique near my house. It is a designer called Samuel Bardon, his label is Periphery, based in Toronto. The sleeves are self-scrunched (real time saver - haha).

I have no eye for this look but I looooove the jacket & the pattern of the slouchy pants but no idea if they look ok or not - to me they look fine.

LOVE! I need to check out eLuxe.

If you want them to appear longer, you can wear a pair of sheer socks underneath, a color that matches the booties.

Or wear as is, the skin peeking is on trend. Also, these will look fab with heeled sandals!

I wouldn't worry about muffin top, you look slim and if you wear a slouchy top, no one will see. Another idea is to wear a stretchy cami (I prefer the nylon cami to shapewear, I don't like feeling compressed). The stretchy cami smoothes out a bit of the muffin top, I find, and if I bend over, none of my aging midsection will show.
