Debora, it definitely makes sense for our climate! I got those peachy chinos and realized quickly that I'd get a lot more wear out of them as shorts. I was tempted to cut off my identical pair in blue, but I really like how they look full length and rolled. But considering how hard it can be to find great shorts in a longer length, the cutoff solution is a really useful one.
Thanks for the kind words, all! I got my hair semi-straight that day -- relatively low humidity is a rarity I take advantage of sometimes, and then I bother blow-drying my hair. But most days this summer I am drying the bangs and roots at the crown a bit and letting the rest air dry, so it goes wavy/curly. I prefer it straight but oh well!
