WIW: Short shorts, hot pink top

Happy Monday YLF!

I don't know that this is my best look ever, but here we go! The first wear of these unlikely to be long enough to be YLF approved shorts, given to me when my friend cleaned out her closet lately. I felt like the belt loops needed a belt but wanted a low contrast option so I picked out this brown skinny. I usually would have picked a necklace, but after reading last nights thread on Joy's MOG dress post I decided to go for the exposed bare neckline and selected these statement earrings my grandmother gave me 20 years ago instead. I feel like the shirt is a bit sheer so next wear will probably get a cami. Love to hear your thoughts and feedback.

I think a cami is a good idea, but it's a cute summer outfit. I think the belt is a good choice and I really like those shoes.

The world must be coming to an end if I inspire anyone to wear an exposed bare neckline! Sarah, you look fine in those shorts and neckline, but the cami might be a good addition.

Sarah, you look so cute and the top, sans necklace, looks carefree, like summer should be! I like the hat, too, and, yes, a cami, may be better so as not to draw attention to the thinner fabric.

I have officially added a cami, which brings another shopping desire since it seems few of mine lay perfectly flat at the top seam (at least not the pink and purple ones). Such a vicious circle!

You look ready for fun, Sarah. I think the short are tasteful and flattering, and the hot pink is a perfect shade. I love the fitted t on you, and you should keep this silhouette. I can see these shorts, however, with a soft, boxier top. Do you have any in your summer wardrobe?

Hmmm I ,don't think I have a top like that but a quick run through will be in order as I like the breezyness of that idea in the heat.
