Today I am wearing the last of my new purchases for fall*, a black seamed sheath dress from Banana Republic. I originally wanted the leather trimmed v-neck sheath, but the trapeze cut did nothing for me. This one still has a more generous fit, but it does show a bit of shape, and there is not so much volume that it can't be belted. It is super comfortable and the fabric is substantial. On top is my workhorse printed cardigan and a snake belt for a bit of extra pattern. I wore ribbed tights for warmth and texture. I was feeling a bit prim on my way out the door, so I grabbed my nylon moto jacket to edge things up a bit.

ETA - Shiny New Sheath dress, errands edition, w/Athleta moto jacket. I swapped my heels for suede booties to run some errands after work.
