It's that time of year when the sun is BRIGHT again! And yet it's only 10 degrees. Wearing Ella Moss tie dye moto with Gap leans and Gidigios. This is a fallback outfit formula for me, but I would love to know how others with this jacket are styling it more creatively. Ceit, did yours arrive yet?

I think this is a marvelous fast fallback outfit for you, very Una. I love the black of your boots and top in combo with the lighter wash jeans and then your amazing new jacket. Great look!

ETA: I may have missed previous WIWs with the jacket, but have you tried it with your slouchy trousers and a semi-tucked sweater, or with a high-low top underneath?

Thanks, Inge! My face does not match the sun! I'm making lists of things I need to do in my head - it's what DH calls my "list-face". More like "listless", but whatever!

I love this fallback outfit, and can see why it works as one. I'm also loving the way we can now make you full screen (thanks, Greg!) with the upper right click. You look so good in the sunshine, even as you're making your mental list. Ah, The Mentalist.

Inge's ETA ideas are outstanding: Slouchy pants and high-low or semi-tucked sweater. Lots of variety here, because you've got all those items.

I love the way the boots bookend the top, while the jeans and jacket are tonally consistent.* And the outfit is covered for cold weather while the light colors feel like Spring. YLF!

I think this formula is magic on you and of course, that jacket is the perfect completer piece for that formula. Love the colours here. Great suggestions re: slouchy trousers, leather trousers, hi-lo tops, slouchy tops with semi tuck. How 'bout with the silver skinnies?

I love it styled this way! It's perfect. Definitely try your Leiths, leather pants, and some silver in there (either pants or top). I think you can rock this so many ways!

I love this! You are really owning that look! Wish I could dress like that on a work day! You know me -- I would totally rock that fab jacket with a pencil skirt -- maybe a midi!

This is what I love, a simple outfit with one statement piece. Well, maybe the boots are a statement as well. What a long lean look you've created. Just fabulous!

Well now that's just the perfect Una fall back outfit! I've yet to wear mine out; it's stuck in a giant pile of returns-to-be-sorted boxes but I hope to have it hanging up in my closet early next week. You know me, I'm going to suggest you wear it over a column of lightness (either white/cream, gray, silver, etc.) Some other ideas that come to mind for you:

- a dressy shell/blouse + slouchy trousers + booties
- white or heathered tee + silver jeans + oxfords
- over one of your more fitted dresses/sheathes + tights + boots

I hope it becomes a workhorse, Deborah! The boots definitely were the item of this winter, although I have been trying to wear them only once a week so my other boots get some play. Strange to try to keep CPW up instead of down!
