Dear all,
I've been somewhat inspired by another blogger (but she's certainly not as interesting as Angie), namely Jessica Quirk from What I Wore. I've been playing a little with the Spring outfit suggestions in her book, and here's how it went so far this week:
#1: What I Wore yesterday (teaching all day)
This combination was inspired by a very simple suggestion in the book based on a white blouse and light pants. I liked my patterned blouse with these pants, so that's how it went. I wore black turtleneck under my blouse to keep warm, and black shoes. When recreating the look, I felt like adding more color, so I tried red shoes. To me, it felt more like spring. A semi-structured outfit that felt professional and comfortable, but maybe a bit boring?
#2: What I Wear today (home office)
I recently discovered an old scarf in pretty red, light blue and cream, but with hideous fringes. I removed the fringes, and - lo and behold - a brand new scarf. Paired this with my Breton and jeans, and red shoes. Happiness factor through the roof! The inspiration came from an outfit that looks much like mine.
#3: What I Will Wear tomorrow (home office)
A good thing should be repeated, thus more stripes ahead! Tomorrow, I'll wear a striped tee, black skirt, silk scarf (French, or at least bought there), and denim jacket. Black tights and heeled oxfords. As you can see, this is a very flexible outfit that I can move very freely in! It is inspired by an outfit based on the same elements. It is too cold for this outfit outdoors, so I'll put my puffer and boots on when I head outside.
What do you think? All comments and suggestions are very welcome. Thanks for looking!
ETA: I removed the drawings from What I Wore. After all, they are protected by copyright, and it felt wrong to post them here.
