WIW: Scarf Challenge Day 4 and 5

I decided to be a little creative and wear the last two "scarves" on the same day. I say "scarves" because I only have 3 proper scarves, so for the last two days I improvised with a sarong and a pashmina, which are sort of scarf like.

Sarong: bought in Hawaii in high school
Pashmina: bought by an outdoor vendor in Chinatown in NYC
White tee: KMart
Cobalt blue necklace: Christmas present
"Crystal" looking earrings: Christmas present

Outfit worn for: hanging out around the house, doing taxes. Pashmina used to keep 70 degree breeze from window from chilling my skin. You know you've lived in L.A. a long time when you catch a chill at 70 degrees.

I get the 70 degree chill in LA. The first year we lived in Orane County, CA, we laughed at those bundled up in a Southern California winter. People told us knowingly that our blood would "thin out". By the next winter we were wearing warmer clothes and started realizing that they were right.
You are very creative! Thank you for participating in the challenge. I will try to post my scarf outfits tomorrow. DGS is sleeping over tonight. Too much toddler time to figure it all out tonight. Besides my battery is very low.

Pink is a great color on you, love you in the sarong! I get the "chill" thing. I'm in N. CA which is significantly cooler than LA but still, mild compared to say, Maine or Canada. I am in the habit of wearing down jackets inside because they are so cozy. And if you get warm you can ball them up and use them as a pillow to take a nice nap.

As an Australian I totally get why 70 is chilly weather! I classify a pashmina as a scarf and think you have been very creative with this. Your pink sarong is really pretty and fun and works beautifully with your white T, which is a really nice style. I find getting a well fitting t-shirt can be tricky at times. My fall back is Uniqlo.

Lovely! Both scarves are great! The pashmina suits you perfectly, the colour is beatiful on you. The sarong looks very nice with the white tee. And what lovely jewelry and make up! YLF.

Thanks, everyone! I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets the 70 degree chill. You feel crazy sometimes.
