WIW: Saturday Calling - YouLookFab Forum

It was a busy run around day - hubby is away on a golf weekend and I decided to use the time alone with the kids to head across town to visit my mom and then some old friends living in the same area. Ended the outing by taking the kids to a Fro Yo bar that everyone has been raving about - the kind where you serve your own and add all the toppings your heart desires. Kids loved it. Right now I'm back in sweats, eating pizza and watching an entire season Downton Abbey. Being a grass widow isn't all bad

The title for my post is Downton Abbey inspired - imagine living in the 20's and your entire life consisted of calling on friends and balls.

I actually loved my outfit today. I comfortable and pretty. This is something I would have considered quite dressy before but clearly YLF is having a profound influence on me and instead I thought that this was an appropriately casual and easy outfit for a day with the kids.

I like it too. It's understated but I think your hair being one of my favorite shades and the full printed skirt make statements on their own. You don't need a lot of help from frou-frou. I adore this look.

Yes, this forum has changed many of my ideas about casual outfits too- wearing a 'dressier' jacket over jeans and the like.
I am embarrassed to recall my DH years ago saying he liked the 'stylish outfit' on a lady, when I was thinking that she looked 'over-dressed' at the time. I now think she had found YLF and was way ahead of me.
Oh, and this looks FAB Hil! The white hemline really adds great interest and light to the outfit.

Thanks everyone! Truth be told I'm feeling a calling to be a little dressier but I'm struggling with the idea as I've always been a little RATE I think. I feel a little conflicted over that.

I love it! The full printed skirt paired with the fluid top has an unconvetional proportion but looks very exciting to my eye. I think your hair and nails keep a nice bit of RATE going too. Great weekend look!

This outfit is one of my favourites on you. I like you in this skirt length the most, I think showing more of leg is very flattering (to my eye at least) and I l.o.v.e that splash of white. All in all, everything is fresh and bright and total winner in my book.
