I got dressed in 2 minutes flat to make it to the post office in time this morning. I mean, brush your teeth, pull the hair back in a ponytail and GO. This is what I tossed on. Funny, I didn't really realize until right now that I had internalized an idea I was rolling around in my head last night to summerize this fall outfit http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....w-for-fall
In my head I chose army green cargo shorts and my brown tie ankle espadrilles. But in the rush this morning, the flat sandals and brown cords shorts came out. No doubt because the cords have stretch while the cargos don't, and the flat sandals are quick and easy compared to lacing up 3" heeled wedges.
At any rate, when I snapped a pic, I felt very meh about the whole ensemble. It had elements of my rubric, even in such a rushed state. But what I realized was off was the color scheme. Brown simply does not do it for me anymore. I've gradually gone back to black after more than a decade of shying away from it. But today was the first time that I actively did not like the brown. To the point of deciding if I should donate my sandals to my mom!! This isn't to say every brown item must go, but no more overwhelmingly brown tones head to toe for me! I'll pull out the army green shorts next time
Just felt like sharing today lol. Thanks for looking and reading along!
