WIW Sat - a haircut and a run, team wear

Nothing special to be sure. I rode my bike to the hair salon for a trim at long last. The new item is a small purchase - Roxy flats on sale for $6 yesterday. A few GF's that worked at the pub with me had them in black and I've been on the hunt for the last 6 or 7 months. Beige works even better than black I think, as an almost nude neutral. The corduroy is very cozy. Not high fashion, but very functional. Oh, speaking of function, the moto's sleeve/armpit issue is much more apparent on the bike. Will save it for regular wear with arms mostly down at my sides
Other new item is a long sleeved wicking running top also found on sale yesterday. Thumb holes and a little cover over the zipper so it doesn't chafe your chin. Great extra details in a discount item! Was perfect for my run today in sub 60 degrees. Also wearing my new-ish tights from xmas. I did say I needed to upgrade the exercise capsule!
Bonus pic of trim. I didn't go for the lob (long bob) a la Jennifer Lawrence. I'll leave that for my hairdresser back home next time I visit.

It was with trepidation that I wrote that, Suz! But having brought NO cold running stuff here, I've been feeling the chill. I hope you guys warm up a bit - it's been crazy this year.

Well, I warmed up at Crossfit.

I managed to drive there and back, something of a small miracle in itself.

My best purchase this year so far? The snow boots Una told me about. I have needed them every single day since they arrived and I predict that over the next six weeks, their CPW will be down to less than $1.

Your hair is just gorgeous, Mo! I do think you'd look great with the long bob you showed, but maybe it's best to work toward it gradually since you're so used to your long hair- it might be a shock if done all at once.

Moto jacket outfit looks terrific. Nice gear too. I think you would look gorgeous in the jennifer lawrence do. That is a big step though. Best to take it slowly.

You have the most gorgeous hair. I think the Roxy flats are great - have been eyeing them myself. Are they comfy? I need easy to slip on and off spring/summer shoes that aren't clunky sneakers or strappy sandals.
The moto jacket is great, are you secretly glad it's colder than usual there so you can wear it?

Jealous of your "sub 60" weather. My home looks like Suz's, and is only going to get worse. Schools are likely to close again this week due to extreme cold (yeah, colder than the -50F we had earlier this month).

JJsloane, the shoes are reallycomfy. That's why I was looking for them. If my friends can wait tables standing in them for hours, that convinced me. They have a little cushy footbed that has a pullout strap so you can wash them - I'm sure you could put an insole instead if you chose.
Thistle I really feel for you guys up north! Last year in Tahoe we had a few sub zero days in Jan. This time last year was -16 and several feet of snow in my driveway. So, I do know what it's like. But there is cold and then there is COLD.
And I appreciate the hair compliments! I do think the lob could be fun, but would want to be sure it comes out just right and not verging on soccer mom (no offense to any here).

Mo - that's a totally awesome moto on you!! You really wear white magnificently well. You have such pretty hair. I concur the "lob" would look fantastic but honestly it's whatever you are feeling!! I really your first outfit!! Every element is perfect for that casual chic look that most of us try for but don't achieve. Your pendant looks like my harmony ball!! The best thing I ever bought as far as amping up any outfit!! You look great!!

Your white moto looks wonderful, as does your hair! They're talking -30°F here with the windchill; I'll take some of your below 60.

The new flats look comfy and versatile and I love how crisp and light the white jacket and belt make everything look!

I still have a little redness on my collarbone from a running top with an uncovered zipper that I wore back in November. Ugh. I replaced it with one that has the zipper cover thingie, which I'd never thought of looking for before, but will clearly start noticing from here on out.
