WIW same jacket & skirt, different tops.

Caro in Oz

#1 to #3 are different tops # 4 & 5 are top #3 - side view (with jacket pocket detail) & with jacket done up. Do any of these fit with my creative, comfortable, architectural vibe & which (if any) top do you prefer? Feel free to express your own constructive thoughts even if you feel like a voice in the wilderness. Your input is so helpful as I refine my style:) #6 is the top in #1 without the jacket. This is the one I wore as I wanted to be able to take the jacket off & the other tops don't have any sleeves.

Hi Caro, these colours look great on you!
I really like top #1, with the jacket and by itself.
No. 2 &3 not so much, as they seem too unstructured with the skirt and feel too long with the jacket. I could imagine top 2 with fitted pants though, and 3 tucked perhaps?

caro, i adore 1and6 ...the best i've seen from you thus far. what works is the slim but not tight fit skimming your figure, with the jacket adding some more structure.

in the others, there is too much fabric, bulking you up. may i suggest wearing the top in 2 with skinnies or straight legs and booties? i'd like to see the top in 4 without the jacket. the extra folds accentuate your tummy more tan necessary.

in general, i would leave te jacket open. it looks too small when buttoned.

Caro, I absolutely love #1 and #6. The mix of pattern works and the layering of the three pieces creates perfect proportions. I also think #2 works. I would however add say a long pendant just to break up the expanse of grey. The top on three is very cool and am not sure if maybe it's the angle of the photo that has it giving undue attention to your tummy area. I particularly like the neckline. I would like to see this top styled with so e other options to see how it really works. And I agree the jacket unbuttoned creates a lovely flow through effect in the outfits. These colors are quite fabulous on you Caro:)

I like all of the tops, but with the skirt and jacket I think #1 looks the best, although I'd love to see it with a long silver pendant. I think 2 and 3 would look great with slim grey jeans or trousers - something that would complement but not compete with the drape of the tops.

Caro, I echo everything that Deb has said. I LOVE #1/ #6. The pattern mix, the cut, the colours, everything just seem perfectly suited to your style *and* your figure. It's a super spring/summery outfit. I agree with Deb that perhaps a pendant would be nice here, but it's not strictly necessary.

Like Bj and Deb, I prefer this jacket unbuttoned.

I also like the other two tops, particularly #3. #2 seems quite overwhelming to you, but it may just be the styling here. I do see possibilities for #3. If you need sleeves, perhaps you could layer it over a very sheer light sleeved layer, and then over a dark pencil skirt or skinnies. It does compete with the jacket.

Thanks so much everyone! I agree #1 is the only one of these I would wear with this jacket & skirt - I have a longer grey jacket that works with the other tops (with skinny pants). The jacket isn't actually tight when I button it but it does look that way in the photo - not sure why, maybe it is the drape of the top, there is a lot of fabric there. These tops were on the fringes of my wardrobe & I'm wearing them to see how I feel in them & whether they fit with my style shift. The big plus from wearing this was it was a really hot day & I felt cool & not crumpled at the end of it.

I personally love the top you wore because the pattern mixing here is perfection, IMO. I love the smaller print with the larger print and both are muted tones. The shoes add a touch of the architectural, I think. I also like the top in #3 - the drapey one with the pointed front. I don't care for #2 because I think it's too much overall volume.

1 is definitely the most figure-flattering, but 3 has more of the creative vibe you are looking for. I agree with those who suggest trying it with other bottoms.
I also have to tell you how much I love your hair. I would stop dyeing mine in a heartbeat if I thought it would look as good as yours!

First of all, I love your style and you inspire me.

I like the choice you went with as shown in pictures 1 and 6. I like the pattern mixing too. My second choice is #2 but maybe add a pendant or scarf? The third top with folds is certainly dramatic however I do not feel it lends itself to outer jackets. Perhaps a simple shawl draped over your shoulders but allowing the bottom to show, would work better. Hope this is the kind of feedback you want and doesn't sound too harsh.

Caro, you look very well in light grey, which is a hard color to wear for a lot of people (myself included).
Out of the 3 tops I prefer #1 with the jacket - 2 others feel like competing with it. However I am not sure I like this particular jacket as much on you: it seems to lack structure. Also I feel that even though you look great in grey it is too much of it - I still cannot forget how wonderful you looked in that dark blue shirt!
I would like to see top #3 without a jacket - its architectural form may play nicely with a slim skirt.
#6 is a very nice pattern mix in a soft color palette...

Sveta the jacket is unstructured - it is unlined linen. I do feel & look better with more structured top & jackets but summer here is very hot (& I run hot) so it's basically linen or cotton if I'm going to be outside for any length of time.

I hear what you are saying about there being too much grey & will try out a few other options. Thanks for your help.
