WIW, running errands

Hi fabbers. This is my first WIW. I have been a lurker and finally signed on last week. This is a typical outfit I wear for weekends for most of my adult life which is more than 30 years now. I have been wondering if it is too young. I am a 52 yo professional, living in sw US. Now I see the pictures, I also wonder if the jeans are too loose. It is not intended to be boy friend style. Thanks in advance for your comments.

I think it's perfectly age appropriate. Your top and utility jacket are both fab. If you want, you could size down in jeans, but personally I like them as they are, too.

I think it looks great. I prefer my jeans a little slouchy and I think these look good. You do not look age inappropriate at all. The only thing I might add is a belt to pull it all together--especiallyl since you have a semi-tuck going on. YLF! Nice to meet you too

This is perfect fr casuals, love the tee, t has a great print on front! Belt will elevate this for a more dressy look, it depends if you do want this to happen, or not. May not be that comfy with a restricting belt, but anyway, YLF, and welcome!

totally age appropriate, this is how i dress for weekends as well (50 ys old). the print on that tee is great, love the colors. i agree with others, i like how these jeans fit, but you could size down if you wanted a more fitted look.

Not too young. The jeans are loose for a skinny jean but they do look good on you. Love the tee. You look fab, welcome to the world of WIW.

Welcome, Shirley! Love the rich color in your first WIW! I'd call these jeans "slouchy skinnies," and they're quite on trend. If you wear denim often, I think it's nice to have one pair tailored and another slouchy!

I think you're outfit is perfectly fine for your age. It's modern, but not super "young". I would second Kelly with a suggestion for the addition of a great belt!

I like the way the jeans fit - they are a perfect BF look but if you're not going for that, then they are too loose. Beautiful top!

Thanks Ladies. You are very wise and kind. I put on a belt this afternoon and felt more polished right away. I have many belts but always too lazy to wear them especially if I don't tuck in the top. I will do from now on. Thanks again for commenting and welcoming me.

I really like your top. I am 59 and I would wear your outfit. Thank goodness what is considered age appropriate has changed so much since my Mom's day. I think the only time something may be age inappropriate is if something is too short or if we show too much skin.

I love that tee! Congrats on first WIW! The look is not too young at all, and I do think you'd up your style quotient wearing this outfit with skinny jeans. But this is really an appropriate, modern look.

Thanks again. I will try it with "skinnier" jeans later and show. Funny thing is I consider these jeans to be skinny till I saw myself in the photo. It's hard to fit when you have a stomach and skinnier thigh and legs.
