Thank you all for your kind words. Guess what? We couldn't get into the movie!! It was sold out. So we are going tonight instead. We had a nice meal anyway. I just wish we'd known ahead of time so we could have lingered a bit in the restaurant instead of rushing out into the cold (brrrrrr).
Aproprio, I liked the double leather sleeve, too, and it was also practical because the coat sleeves are slim and layer better over smooth layers like leather than they do over bulky fabric. And Sharan, don't worry -- I only scrunched my sleeves like that inside. I pulled them down all the way to go outdoors. (Actually, the restaurant was so warm I had to take the jacket off, but I wanted it just in case because you never know.)
Carter, I'm not sure how the hair fared. My other trick to dealing with "hat head" is simply not to look at my own reflection!
Sterling, I am flattered. I really like the sweater on Angie, too. And I'm sure Greg's photos are higher quality than mine. But the colours may show differently depending on the light.
I would not have bought this sweater without Angie's suggestion. The mixed print struck me as downright weird. But once it was actually on, I found the effect more pleasing. I think the snakeskin sleeve print (not leopard, duh!) works quite well with my own natural colouring. It seems to blend with my hair and skin pretty well. I notice that it looks very different on me than on the Nordstrom's model -- almost a different colour (at least the sleeve portions). Angie's looks more like mine IRL.
