Okay, so I'm not generally a person who busts out the star-spangled outfits for Independence Day. It's just not me. I did, quite unintentionally, though, end up wearing red, white, and blue for a movie and some shopping this past weekend.
#1 was what I wore to see a matinee of the BFG on Saturday. I've settled on this Duluth Trading Company "No Yank Tank" as my tank top of choice, and now have a stack of them in various neutrals. Boyfriend jeans, sandals, arm candy, and layered necklaces, plus a flannel for the AC. I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it's one of my favorite, most-genuine looks.
#2/3 was my actual fourth of July outfit. Black maxi (which is pretty much all I want to wear, ever, this summer) with long necklace, string bracelets, sandals, and matching cognac bag. I swapped out the black ribbon on my straw hat with an olive leather band.
#4 is a closeup of the Costa Rican string bracelets that I more or less haven't taken off my wrist for the past month. Boho summer fun.
Your comments are always welcome. I'm feeling better about this summer than last (largely due to my new, wear-everywhere sandals), but it's still my least-favorite season.
