I wore a regular weekend fallback outfit today: my trusty plaid shirt with silk cami, jeans and booties (#1).
Thinking about Friday's ensemble, though, I decided to play in my closet a bit and mix things up with a blazer over the same base.
#2 is a red plaid blazer with olive scarf.
#3 is a black, knit blazer with red plaid scarf. I have some darker jeans on the way that I think I'd like better with this (hopefully, if they work).
I would wear any of these options, though I don't find blazers practical for home-wear, so I'd save those for days when I'm out and about. I like the idea that I could wear something like #1 for working at home, and then swap, Mr. Rogers style, when I leave the house. I also have numerous black layering tops , some of which may even work better than this one.
