Going to a banquet in Chinatown tonight, but first I have a long, busy day at work. Red is always an appropriate color for such things, so I pulled out my J Crew tomato trumpet midi, which I haven't worn for a while. Paired it with a simple shell, gilet, and pointy flat booties, all in black. (After seeing today's blog post I wanted to wear tall boots but it's too warm, plus I didn't have time to dig them out of the back of the coat closet this morning.) Leather jacket for after the sun goes down.
