I bought this pencil skirt on sale from J. Crew earlier this month, and finally had a chance to wear it today. They don't show well in the low-quality picture, but the zippers are a bronze-y gold, so there's a nice contrast. I ended up unzipping the side zip a few inches to make it easier to walk and get in and out of the car.
Since the skirt is so fun, I kept the supporting act simple: a black cashmere turtleneck from Lands End (old), Mary Jane pumps, and my watch. Got a ton of compliments. Next time I think I'll try my moto boots, since they have similarly colored zippers that might play nicely with the skirt's details.
