WIW: Recent casual outfits for hot weather

We went from chilly to hot in a nanosecond. Here are some very casual outfits for hot weather.

1. Gloria Vanderbilt shorts from Kohls, Eddie Bauer top. What happened to my feet? I had on my dark blue KorkEase sandals. I was going to show my grey hair, but chickened out. Sorry.

2-3. Croft and Barrow embroidered crops from Kohls, Lands End top, Bernardo sandals, Sak guitar strap bag.

4. Lee shorts from Kohls, thrifted linen embroidered top, Steve Madden faux Birkies, Sak bag. I stayed clean until early evening, when I was watering some newly planted veggies, and the hose touched my shorts.

5. Thrifted Gloria Vanderbilt (homemade) cutoffs, Caslon embroidered top, KorkEase sandals, Sak guitar strap bag.

I think 2 is really super, a classic combination of navy and white and the detailing on the shorts is lovely.

Cute for hot days, we are also hot . I like #2 embroidered crops, also #1 .

Love these, and yes, where did spring go? The embroidered crops are my faves in 2 and 3! And I consider you grey hair a gorgeous accessory which complements your blues, whites and grey (and pinks!) so well!

These are all great casual summer outfits. I can keep white shorts clean even with kids around, but pants are a different story.

Like the Season, Aida, thank you. I whittled down the colors in my wardrobe a few years ago and like how everything goes with everything. Of course since then I’ve added pink!

Sara, thank you. Our garden irrigation had been broken for a month, and was mostly fixed except for the vegetable garden. So I had to hand water it, especially the new plants. Anyway, I was doing okay until the garden hose just barely touched the shorts. I washed them today and they look fine.
