Our daughter and her fiancé had postponed their wedding due to Covid. On Sunday, August 15th they decide they wanted to be married, before his children went back to school and possible Covid exposures increased. They asked if DH and I would be their witnesses on Friday the 20th!
In 5 days, DD, her fiancé and his 3 children planned and pulled together the most heartfelt, intimate, lovely, family-focused ceremony! DD and her step daughter ordered dresses from Bergdorf Goodman and had them overnighted. The groom and his sons wore white shirts and chinos.
Luckily DH and I were told to dress casually. We had both caught colds from our granddaughter and shopping was not an option. I sent DD photos of 4 shifts I had in my closet. Here is the one she chose for me to wear. I bought it at a local boutique at the beginning of the summer. It was on a clearance rack for $20. No mani, no pedi, no facial, no hair stylist. No more colds, either! It is a good thing I really believe that a killer smile can enhance every outfit!
Here are photos of the dress, the smile, the wedding family and the newlyweds!
Thank you for looking!
