Here are a few outfits from last week, when we had snow and some very cold weather. (Not nearly as cold as other places in the US though! I hope everyone stayed warm!).
1-2: I decided to play with tonal burgundies here. It's kind of hard to tell but the three items (fitted merino wool sweater, ruffled jacket, and tall shearling lined boots) are slightly different shades of burgundy. The sweater is more plum and the boots are slightly more brick. It's a subtle difference but provides some additional interest and I rather liked it. I did not wear my burgundy coat with this, sadly, as it was too cold for it. (I wore my grey wool trench instead.) I did, however, pop on a burgundy and grey handknit beret for outdoors, so I guess this counts as a fourth burgundy item!
3: A handknit wool cardigan/jacket over my zebra tee. I like how the cables on the sweater and the zebra stripes play off of each other.
4-5: Navy tweed moto, plaid shirt, and the burgundy boots again. Plus a handknit hat that I finished recently. I jokingly called this my "basic girl hat" because every other woman here seems to have a version of this hat (most of those are store-bought though!), and of course blush is still quite trendy. I love my version.
