WIW: Q style and crazy hair

A few recent WIWs--knit midi last week. The ultimate in comfort--like sweats! Post run dog walking out fit with my best accessory. Had a few warm days so I got to break out the shorts for working around the house. Today I was a column of color with my "shoe" themed face mask.

I'm tempted to cut my bangs but think I'll hang on a bit longer as they work okay if my hair is up--when it's unleashed, they looks too shaggy. I have some head bands so may play with those or will just start wearing my new blue hat.all.the.time. Will add photos from my phone in a bit. Oops, my phone died. Also sharing my hand sewn masks—my sewing machine RIP. Natural light photo of my hair color—oy. So dull!

Wow, I think you look great all around. If you saw my hair, you would realize your hair is neat as a pin in comparison!

Pretty all around - love it all.
Cool hat in #3 - looks good on you.
Your hair is still got shape and highlights - especially nice in #4 last look. Be careful with trimming if you decide to go with it ( I think I overdid mine a tiny bit recently ).

#2 pink waist pack and watching shoe laces=locked down perfection !
blue hat is fab, and I hear you on the hair. I’ve wearing headbands and trying hard not to look to at the roots.

Well, your new blue hat is so darn flattering that you should just wear it all the time for that reason. Your hair looks pretty amazing, but I know bangs can be so annoying when they are just *that* much too long.

Your hair looks terrific! I do get it about the bangs, though -- at a certain point they will drive you nuts. The blue hat is adorable, as is the knit dress. You always look ready for anything. Even a pandemic!

Great all the way around! I love the stripes + denim in #1. I think your hair looks like movie star hair: absolutely swoon-worthy! I don't know what you want it to look like, but this is a fabulous stage, IMO.

I like your hat, mask & high tops I also like your current fringe but I understand the length hassle. Have you tried swooping your fringe to the sides & clipping it in place, then moving strands from further back to fall over the visible clips (creating a more seamless look)? It's not perfect but I have sometimes resorted to this when my hair doesn't want to behave but I don't want to bust out the headbands, lol.

@slimcat: Thank you. I have cut my bangs in the past and lived to regret it. Fortunately, they grow back. I do think less is more when it comes to bangs so if I do attempt it, I will error on the side of caution especially since I’m not sure when my hair dresser will be back open to fix them.

@Kkards; Thank you. I love my fanny pack. I’ve had it forever--it holds my phone. Its probably the only reason I haven’t gotten a new phone--because anything bigger won’t fit in the pack.

@Bijou: Thank you! I’m finally sort of over my sulking from the gym being closed. It’s been a struggle to stay motivated and I have very little will power when it comes to diet. My weight is up at least 5 pounds but I’m just rolling with it for now.

@Brooklyn: Thank you! Those Timberland high tops are the best. Talk about a great multipurpose shoe!

@Laurie: Thanks! Haha. I love the hat. I have a lot of blue in my wardrobe and I thought it would pair so well with some of my sun dresses when I have an occasion to wear one again--and on a non-windy day.

@Carla: Thanks! The weather has been hit or miss lately. Seems rainier and colder than usual for us but there have been some gorgeous days in between. I shouldn’t complain.

@Suz: Thank you! I feel so much better when I actually get dressed a la Angie. Unless I have a video meeting I don’t even bother putting on make up let alone brushing my hair!

@Rachy: Thanks! Masks are required now in parts of the Bay Area. Not in Santa Clara County as of yet but I’ve been wearing them to the store. I wouldn’t mind trying some new patterns if and when I can get my sewing machine fixed.

@Zaeobi: Thank you! I tried your suggestion and I think it will work with my hair up. DDs thought it looked too juvenile with my hair down--probably because my bobby pins had big rhinestone stars on them. If I can find some plain ones, I’ll give it anot

You look adorable and stylish as ever. Love the dress outfit. I agree with others, your hair looks great; I really like it up as well as down. Also agree that there is a point when you just have to do something with bangs. They aren't as tricky to cut on your own as one might think.

@Sharan: I'm going to see how long I can go before cutting my bangs but you're right if you cut up into them instead of across, it usually works better at least for wispy bangs!
@ML: Thanks! We've had some gorgeous warm days. It's been a blessing during this quarantine to be able to go outside in the sun. I really feel for people in not so mild climates.

Sparkly rhinestone Bobby pins may be contributing to the 'juvenile' feel a bit but you do you - after all, if quarantine chic isn't the time to experiment then when is, haha?

Thanks, Denise! So happy to hear from you! You are so sweet--I would never sell my masks--it's kind of embarrassing just giving them away with my sloppy hand stitching but no one's complained. I've only given them to people who don't sew at all--some coworkers, in laws and immediate family. As long as you don't look close, they look passable. Anyone that can see my stitching isn't standing 6' away! haha!
