WIW: Printed Pants, Graphic Tee & Vest

Hi Fabbers!

I tried this ensemble just for fun while going grocery shopping yesterday. It's WAYYYYY out of my comfort zone....just too graphic and casual for my style, I guess. But I have to admit it was still fun trying

At first, I tried on this weird brown-taupe orphaned vest in Pic #1. Honestly, I don't know why I even own this piece. I liked the embroidery on the front, I guess. However, I struggle to pair it with any outfit and it's definitely an orphan. I'm considering donating it....the colour just doesn't work for me. Any thoughts? Can this vest be saved? How would you style it?

I finally settled on the cropped denim vest as shown in Pic #2. I also got a chance to debut my new sandals which came to me on 1st August - muted gold and tan, the other colour option of my muted silver and black sandals that are already favourites.

I may never wear this outfit again, but it WAS fun. All comments/inputs welcome!

I think it works Maneera. I think the brown vest is a bit drab on you, but with the denim I think it is a fun maximal look. Your sandals are perfect; comfortable and simple. I find the look figure flattering, fun and perfect for a weekend.

Whilst I think you are normally more classic, it is fun to try something different for a change. I am wearing an orphan skirt today as part of my August challenge. I don't feel my best in it but it has been good to give it a go!!

Thanks Sally! I thought it was fun too. I do want to try different looks from time to time.....I sometimes feel I'm too young to be completely classic all the time I'm so glad you're wearing an orphaned skirt today. That's the whole point of our August challenges, right?! Hope you get a chance to snap a picture and share with all of us at the forum....

It is a fun outfit and it is a great to have fun with fashion and try something new

I would probably wear the vest with t-shirt and jeans (bit of a nod to the 90s) or over a casual summer dress. It is not your usual colour but I think it might work mixed with something that is in your usual colours, as it is pretty neutral.

Thanks Brooklyn.....I think I'm going to have to play around with this brown vest a bit. This colour is simply not me....but I could probably make it work on something blue or black with a printed scarf. I've tried earlier, but didn't manage anything good. I'll try again!

Its fun to play around with different looks. I am not crazy about brwon vest for you but I do like the pants:) The denim vest adds a little something that makes the combo work nicely.

Oh, I like this Manny! Like Deb, I'm not as keen on the brown vest and if you feel like you need to work hard to make it work with other items, then perhaps it's to let go. I adore those pants and tee and I think the denim vest really looks great with the combo. You may feel a bit out of your comfort zone as you said, but you've nailed it and look great!

I think the brown vest will have to go. I'm not keen on trying to make it worn anymore. It's easier to just let go. Brown is not a good colour for me....and this vest is a rather dull brown at that.

Those pants are fun! I like the outfit with the denim vest. I am laughing because I have a pair of super old animal print crops (almost vintage now) I was trying to put together with a graphic T-shirt. I'm definitely not as brave as you because I gave up.

Lol Colette....these cropped pants are really really old too. I don't even remember when I got them, and I certainly haven't worn them in years! Thanks for the boost!

My pants!!!... my pants!!! ....those are my gorgeous, crazy-woman pants! Haha!

They suit you cuteness and I like the 2nd option with the denim vest so much more on you....
