Just a quick description of my print skirt last blast of summer. Determined to get them in, and glad I am because it is forcing me to look at different combinations I have not done before. Faced no emergencies yet this week, but again glad I have planned ahead and following the plan.
#1 fuschia print - it either stretched out earlier in the weekend when I tried it on, or maybe I did lose a couple lbs? Worn with the same white eyelet pattern top I chose all summer, but added black cardi for chilly morning, allowing me to wear the black gladiator sandals - very comfortable. Had to work all day, then train volunteers the whole evening. I don't often pick such bold contrast - pure white and black, but it did make me feel very slim and sleek.
#2 teal, brown, green circle print linen flare. Usually pick cream sleeveless cotton blouson top. Dug through my cardigans and found this teal one with circle lace appliques, perfect match! Then a brown cami (seldom worn but glad it was in the drawer that day), and Wow my fab pale Miz Mooz sandally oxfords matched, too! LOVED this. But just my opinion... Another full day plus evening class.
#3 black, white, blue Ikat type print. Usually wear this with a blue knit top, black sandals. But it was really chilly, so I broke out the tights. Black sweater which is one of the "classics" you need to have (??? rarely worn though), but worked today! Also a Western style silver pendant with a blue stone the exact color of the skirt blue. I had to do the training class today also; thought the oxfords would be best. But when I took the photos, I just had to go get out my black booties shoes, which didn't get photographed. (They were not comfy, but looked better...)
So watch for another installment at the end of the week. Comments and tips welcome. Thanks for looking!
