Hi! this week I have spent some more time experimenting with the Arty Layers concept. I am really enjoying it!
1-2: Poncho, paired with jeans and tall boots for more structure. I though the brown bag could be fun? But ended up carrying the black b/c I was too lazy to change out all my stuff.
3: Trying a column of color with the topper as suggested by Suz and Caro in my last post. The tank looks a little bodycon in the photo but i felt like it wasnt bad IRL. Thanks Annagybe for recommending these Target layering tanks!
4-5: I recently thrifted this Philip Lim for TGT summer top (NWT!). Layered here over a merino longsleeve T and with my bottle green moto. This is my take on Grayscale's formula but with color! The color gives this a different feel than a monochrome.... I think i like it both ways (colors and monochroomatic outfits).
6-7: Inspired by Kellygirl's BF cardi and Ornella's tone on tone look in radiant Orchid. This was a fun go to the park outfit on a unseasonably warm day. I feel like because the sweater kind of slouches on the shoulder so the armpit hangs from my body and straight down it is enlarging to my upper body. Hmmmm. I *think* i still like it...
8-9: What I have on today. I returned the gold cardi from my sweaters post to TJMaxx. It has sat at home 27 days without me cuttign the tags which meant i really didnt love it. I got this high low hem top instead. I htink this works to fill the black T item on my shopping list while not being overly basic and boring (a habit I have... get the most versatile peice at the expense of it being interesting.) It kind of bothers me that this conflicts with my goal of shopping more ethically this year. Tags still on if you think it is horrible please say so.
Comments on what works/doesnt work, improvements, remixes and favorites always appreciated!
