I enjoyed wearing my poncho on a trip to Osaka in April to view the cherry blossoms. My poncho is a soft knitted poncho and was wonderful to have because it took up minimal luggage space and was very useful for the long plane flights to and from Australia and to wear on days when the temperature was a bit cool.

Poncho - Jigsaw Australia (also comes in teal and black - and now on sale)
Jeans - Frame, Le Skinny in grey
3/4 sleeve t-shirt top - Uniqulo
Boots - Ecco Abelone (very good for walking)
Cap - custom find - bought in Japan (I do look like a typical tourist in this)!

Personally I prefer to wear my skinnies with a higher shaft boot to balance out my thighs (being pear shaped) - however as I was travelling, I took only the one pair of boots.

I wore my bag on my shoulder underneath the poncho. As my poncho does not come down over my arms too far, I did not find it restrictive or difficult to wear.

All comments and tips for improvement are much appreciated. Given I love seeing other's WIW posts, I thought I should also contribute. I had to add the stunning photo of the cherry blossoms at night in the Osaka Castle gardens. We loved this holiday so much, we have booked to go to Tokyo and Kyoto next year!
