WIW: Planned Outfit #2 (and life imitates craft)

Another stress-less day of getting dressed. This planning thing is really working for me!

Pic #2 - What was planned and why I changed it
- I felt like the white denim jacket was too much white, and I like how the regular denim jacket picked up the blue tones in the skirt
- I decided to walk the 7 blocks to the baby shower and thought that my red flats were a little too shoddy looking and the peep-toe wedges would be okay for the walk. Well, I should've worn the flats; my feet were killing me by the time I got there!

Pic #3 - Baby gift and new shoes
I bought these shoes yesterday and last night I wore them around the house to break them in a little. As I was finishing knitting up this sweater, I looked down and saw that the colors in the sweater are the EXACT SAME as the colors in my new shoes. I have no idea how that happened! Life imitates craft!

Oh, I like! I have been dreaming of a floral skirt, but couldn't find one this summer. Hopefully they will still be big next year.

Love the knitted sweater too! What a lovely gift to give, both handmade and unique. Too funny about it matching the shoes. I guess we know what has been tugging at your heartstrings lately.

I am already back at school preparing.... but yes, I always count down to start-up. It's exciting to see how much the kids have grown over the summer, even if they are 17 years old!

You look great in #1, and I think #2 would have worked also. The shoe/sweater match is so funny - I wonder if you were attracted to the shoes because of the sweater? I do love both!

Both outfits are lovely. The skirt is so fresh looking! And what a gorgeous little cardigan! So funny that it is similar to your new shoes. I think you must truly be a lover of colour.

Shevia - I am definitely thinking that the shoes were picked up as a result of knitting the sweater. The sweater's been in process for a few weeks, and I really loved the colorway of the yarn, so I think I was a goner from the second I tried on those shoes. It was pre-destined!

Suz - I definitely love color. Neutrals are fine sometimes, but they don't make me as happy as color does!
