Hi all

No icons here but I am putting in a good stint for team wear.

Outfit 1: new Ganni floral skirt I posted about last week. I love it! I wore it with the red Zara top that I share with Donna (and almost shared with Suz) and Siren knee high boots. I took up Sally/Kiwigal's suggestion and wore it with my Ombre jacket

Outfit 2: new BP top. I have the same issue as Jenn with this (midriff exposure if I lift my arms too high) but it is a winter top for me so I can wear it with a cami. I wore this with Veronika Maine skirt, Midas boots and the green Sam Edelman jacket.

Outfit 3: my fantasy life involves time spent in a ski lodge wearing knit dresses. It was actually cold enough the day I wore this outfit to wear a knit dress. This one is sleeveless (witchery) layered over an FP thermal top. If you like an embellished cuff (and, really, what's not to like?), FP always sell some version of this. I wore this with OTK boots (Midas) and my witchery mixed media jacket. I walked home in the rain that night so I could not resist including a photo of my delicious umbrella. It's a missoni. Ella, Ella, eh, eh, eh.

As usual, your thoughts appreciated. I hope everyone is enjoying the Olympics. I am!

I love the swing of your top in #1. Such a nice effect and it goes so well over the drape skirt.

And again, lovely drape on the top in #2 Lovely over the monochrome and patterned skirt. Nice to see your fab new jacket!

What's not to love about that fab knit dress...aren't the sleeves great? It's unusual to see a curved shirt hem on a knit dress, I really like that. Great with the OTK boots.

You have a Missoni umberella...love!

Wonderful to see your amazing jackets. I can't say which one I love the most, the ombre, the green leather or that amazing black one? I think I am most in love with the green leather, so very happy that you are treating us with these pictures. Your umbrella and bag are really the icing on the cake - simply perfect.

The new floral skirt looks wonderful on you. Fun pairing with the ombre.

And the top! Such a gorgeous colour. And as long as you can wear with the cami, you're fine. So fun to see the two NAS items in action together.

And the sweater dress outfit is divine on you! You find the most interesting details on items and manage to combine in layering so brilliantly. I've said it before but I will say it again.

I love your ombre and green jackets, and your fantasy outfit. I never wore a dress at a ski lodge but if I did, that outfit looks great!

Very pretty umbrella. We haven't had any rain in over 80 days.

I'm loving the Olympics, too. I watched some men's gymnastics last night. Their routines on the rings especially are amazing.

Hey Brooklyn. You're lucky you're so tall and thin. Or I honestly would steal EVERYTHING IN YOUR WARDROBE!!!! I love all 3 outfits and it's literally impossible to pick a fav...they are all THAT good. The crossover top - perfect. The knit dress - drool worthy. The leather jacket - just stunning. The ombré jacket - drop dead gorgeous.

Love all your outfits! I have a couple of similar pieces, so I'm highly inspired, although it will be a few months before it's cool enough to wear them. Fab knee high boots-you appear to be tall and they hit you in a great spot!

All these are just fantastic, Brooklyn. I'm with Angie--I about fainted at #5. What a clever way to wear that thermal top with the detailed cuffs. The necklace adds to the artful look, and your black boots add to the sleek and laid-back look. Your new green leather jacket is divine over your skirt outfit! And I really like that burgundy satchel--I like the shape and the stitching detail on it.

Thanks everyone! Glad to hear all the love for the new floral skirt plus the jackets. And also the ella, ella, under my umber-rella. It was a gift from my husband (much hinted at).

Diane, thank you, you are so sweet. And you have a great eye for detail. Yes, a curved hem on a sweater dress is unusual. I like the hem because it showcases the OTK boots.

Suz, the necklace is from Witchery (a chain store here). It is a white disc (resin I think) that looks like marble. See pic below. It is a bit of a change for me. I visited it in store 4 times before buying it. My husband calls it my funny white circle necklace. He is intimately familiar with it because I have dropped it twice and broken it, and both times he has repaired it. Thank you for noticing it.

JAileen, thank you. And snap! I was watching the men on the rings when I posted last night! Weren't they fantastic. And no rain for 80 days? I hope your water supply is OK. We are on town water but we have a tank for back up. Drought is not uncommon here and then there are usually tough water restrictions.

Skylurker, ha ha! I am not actually a big sports fan (which is very un-Australian) but I love the Olympics. The simplicity of it appeals to me (fastest, highest, farthest). And thank you for your comments. I know my style is quite different from yours, I appreciate it

Angie, thanks for the K! Ms B's name comes from Brooklyn (her real name and the source of my moniker). She was named after the Brooklyn Bridge. Like most Australians, we are fond of nicknames, and rarely actually call her Brooklyn. So she gets Ms B, Boo, Brooks, Little Miss and String Bean (because she is long and skinny). And of course "darling". I do call her darling but my husband forbids me to do it at the dog park (so embarrassing!)

Sally, you are right! I have friends going to Queenstown again next month but I don't think I will be able to take time off work to go because I am too busy (she says sheepishly while typing at work). But I would love to go again. And the Italian Alps? That would be very nice indeed. And thanks for the ombre jacket suggestion

Thanks FC! We cross posted. Glad to hear the love for no 5. I also wear the thermal top under a black sleeveless tunic from time to time. Alas, as much as I love it, it is generally too warm for me to wear it here. That's why I need a ski lodge holiday!
